FunnelKit vs. CartFlows – Which Is the Better Sales Funnel Builder for WooCommerce?
Around 70% of shoppers abandon their carts before checkout. If you’re running a WooCommerce store, that’s a lot of revenue walking out the door. Sales funnel plugins help you recover some of that money through optimized checkouts, order bumps, and one-click upsells. The two most popular options for WooCommerce are FunnelKit and CartFlows.
I spent two weeks testing both on live sites. Setting up checkouts, adding order bumps, creating upsells, building funnels, and tracking performance.
Based on my experience, I’ll share my findings so you can decide which sales funnel builder is the right fit for your WooCommerce store.
Don’t have enough time to dive into the full comparison? Here’s a summary of our research:
Checkout Customization
The checkout page is where you win or lose sales, so flexibility here matters.
FunnelKit
FunnelKit gives you one-click template imports that work with Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Oxygen, and Gutenberg. It auto-detects your page builder, so there’s no fiddling around.
You can choose between single-step or multi-step layouts and edit every field with a drag-and-drop editor. Want a Shopify-style checkout? That’s easy to set up too.

You can fully customize the checkout page, including multi-step navigation, layouts, fields, order summaries, and a built-in mini cart. Additionally, the design is fully responsive across all devices.

For the checkout form customization, FunnelKit offers a complete drag-and-drop solution.
You can add new sections and fields with 13 custom field types, and rearrange or remove existing ones as needed.

CartFlows
CartFlows offers pre-built templates that work with Elementor, Bricks, Beaver, and the Block Editor.
But the templates lack advanced features such as collapsible sections and editable mini carts.
During testing, the multi-step layout functioned as expected. However, the overall design didn’t feel very professional, and there was no option to customize the navigation buttons.

Field editing is limited to 8 types with no option to rearrange sections or create new ones.

FunnelKit wins this one. More templates, more flexibility, better drag-and-drop editing.
Checkout Optimizations
A smooth checkout isn’t just about looks. It’s about removing friction and optimizing for sales. Every extra click or confusing field costs you sales.
FunnelKit includes 14 built-in optimizations: Apple Pay, Google Pay, smart login, inline validation, auto-applied coupons, Google Address Autocomplete, and URL-based prefilled checkouts.

CartFlows is limited to 7 basics: coupon fields, Google Autocomplete, and “ship to a different address.”

FunnelKit offers twice as many options here. If you want express payments and smart form features, it’s the better choice.
Multilingual Support
Once you start selling internationally, translation becomes essential.
FunnelKit automatically imports templates in your site’s language and integrates with WPML and Polylang. You can even map separate funnels per language, which is useful if your German checkout needs different upsells than your French one.

CartFlows requires manual translation via Loco Translate, TranslatePress, or GlotPress. It works, but it’s more effort.

FunnelKit makes multilingual checkout and funnels seamless, while CartFlows adds extra steps.
Side Cart & In-cart Upsells
Side carts speed up checkout by skipping the cart page. They’re also a good spot for upsells since you catch customers right before they’re ready to pay.
FunnelKit’s side cart (Plus plan and up) includes in-cart upsells and cross-sells, gamified rewards like free shipping thresholds and gifts, plus express payment options.

You also get detailed analytics showing what’s converting and what’s not.

CartFlows doesn’t include a side cart by default. You need the Modern Cart add-on ($69/year). It has upsells, cross-sells, and a free shipping bar, but no gamification, no express checkout, and no analytics.

Order Bumps
Order bumps are those “add this to your order” checkboxes right before payment. They’re one of the easiest ways to increase average order value.
FunnelKit gives you 6+ placement options with different positions for desktop vs mobile. You get modern skins, social proof elements, one-click upgrades, and 20+ targeting conditions. Analytics are built in.

CartFlows offers four placements with no separate mobile options, basic styling, and eight targeting conditions. Analytics require the Pro version ($299).

FunnelKit’s order bumps offer greater flexibility, more design options, and targeted conditional rules, making them better suited for boosting conversions.
One-Click Upsells
After someone completes a purchase, you can show them an upsell offer they can accept with one click (no re-entering payment info).
FunnelKit handles multi-product upsells, so you can offer bundles, tiered pricing, or multiple-choice products in a single upsell. You get 27 targeting rules and can choose to create a separate upsell order or replace the main order.

CartFlows supports only one product per upsell with no advanced targeting. You can only replace the main order. No option to create separate orders.

Dedicated Sales Funnels
Both plugins let you create unlimited sales funnels with prebuilt templates.
FunnelKit adds conditional logic, funnel categories for organization, and performance tracking on the same page.

CartFlows keeps things simpler with date filtering and basic funnel management.

Both handle the basics fine. FunnelKit is better if you’re managing dozens of funnels and need to stay organized.
A/B Testing
FunnelKit lets you A/B test landing pages, checkouts, order bumps, upsells, and thank-you pages. You can duplicate existing pages or import new templates as variants. The tracking shows conversion rates, revenue per visit, and traffic distribution, allowing us to declare a winner directly from the interface.

CartFlows allows split testing for all pages, but only by duplicating them; no template imports. Analytics are more limited.

Both plugins offer solid A/B testing features, but FunnelKit’s interface makes monitoring performance and managing winners much easier.
Analytics & Reporting
FunnelKit provides comprehensive analytics: checkout performance, funnel metrics, conversions by referrer and UTM campaign, revenue tracking, visitor counts, average order value, add-on revenue, and customer journey insights.

FunnelKit provides comprehensive analytics: checkout performance, funnel metrics, conversions by referrer and UTM campaign, revenue tracking, visitor counts, average order value, add-on revenue, and customer journey insights.

Opt-In & Lead Generation
FunnelKit is a full lead-gen toolkit: landing pages, popups, drag-and-drop forms, automatic opt-in email notifications, A/B testing, CRM integrations, and analytics.

CartFlows covers the basics with opt-in templates, email integrations, and A/B testing. But opt-in pages require adding products, which feels awkward for pure lead generation.

Marketing CRM & Automations
FunnelKit includes its own CRM and automation system (Pro plan). You get workflows, SMS/email automation, segmentation, and detailed analytics, all built in.

CartFlows requires the OttoKit add-on ($108/year) for automation, and it has fewer triggers and less flexibility than FunnelKit’s native solution.

Ease of Use
FunnelKit has a seamless onboarding experience. You can build funnels using Canvas Mode (visual drag-and-drop) or List Mode, and analytics are accessible with just a tab switch.

CartFlows has a setup wizard and list mode. No canvas mode, but it’s still straightforward to use.

Both are beginner-friendly. FunnelKit feels more modern with canvas mode and quicker access to analytics.

The Bottom Line
Both FunnelKit and CartFlows will help you build WooCommerce sales funnels. But they serve different needs.
Choose FunnelKit if you want the complete package: professional checkout customization, flexible order bumps and upsells, detailed analytics, built-in CRM, and marketing automation. Everything’s included, no add-ons required.
Choose CartFlows if you’re running multiple sites and want straightforward funnels without the advanced features or automation tools.
After testing both extensively, FunnelKit wins on flexibility, optimization options, analytics depth, and overall value. It gives you checkout optimization, order bumps, one-click upsells, analytics, and CRM in one platform. This saves time, money, and the headache of managing multiple plugins.

So, based on my experience, I would say FunnelKit is the better sales funnel builder for WooCommerce.
